Watteredge high current vacuum contact shorting switch assemblies are designed to overcome the deficiencies of conventional shorting switches presently used in electrolytic cell applications such as chlor-alkali and metals refining.

The normally open shorting switch application in these industrial environments is very problematic for traditional open air contact switches. The highly corrosive environment corrodes or otherwise compromises the open exposed contact surfaces.

Our proprietary vacuum contact switch design overcomes this shortcoming of other switch types by hermetically sealing the contact surfaces in a vacuum environment.
